Gives ELL students skills to help obtain and maintain employment
ELL students build skills that will help them obtain and maintain employment. Youth engage in a variety of workshops to build skills in areas like interviewing and resume writing. Students complete a group project using their skills to work and collaborate with others in the working world. The program provides one-on-one mentoring and support services to assist in academic and career goal setting. After training in the classroom is completed, students are placed at an internship that aligns with their future career interests. Youth receive a stipend after completing all training and activities. Bilingual parent workshops are also provided to help parents support youth in their career goals.
